Our show stood out and sounded truly professional.

We believe every detail deserves intention. Even in a world driven by brevity and buzzwords, we choose to take our time—especially when telling our own story.
So settle in, and enjoy the read.
Perhaps unexpectedly, show design is one of the most strategic and creative tools a performance ensemble can invest in. Building a show means shaping the vehicle through which your ensemble’s identity, emotion, and excellence will be experienced by audiences. It’s where musical intent meets visual impact—where style, pacing, and structure become levers for emotional connection and competitive success.
Tomorrow’s most memorable performances will be immersive, interdisciplinary, and deeply intentional. But how will programs stand out in a saturated landscape? How will designers unify sound and motion into one seamless experience? How will creativity be protected, licensed, and delivered at scale? These challenges all converge at the intersection of design, audio, and execution—the very space where Velvet Audio thrives.
Not long ago, integrating these elements required cobbling together resources from different places, often leaving ensembles with logistical headaches and creative compromises. But advances in digital production, visual design, and mockup technologies—paired with evolving expectations for polish and originality—have created new opportunities. Today’s ensembles can access more refined, more customized, and more cohesive solutions than ever before.
This is what Velvet Audio was built for. Part creative studio, part production partner—with the musical rigor of a composer and the precision of a designer. From custom scores and immersive soundscapes to visual content and licensing support, we help programs focus on what matters most: telling their story, leaving their mark, and elevating every step of the performance journey.
Our story
Expression Defined.
Aesthetic Redefined.
Bringing a performance to life is a delicate, layered process. Directors, designers, and educators often find themselves piecing together a performance from scattered tools—writing music here, sourcing mockups there, juggling permissions, formatting notation, and hoping it all holds together under pressure. It’s a bit like trying to design a stage production in the middle of a windstorm: every time you secure one element, another flies loose. The vision is there, but the tools are siloed, and the process demands compromise.
Velvet Audio was created to bring calm to that chaos. A space where music, sound, design, and licensing don’t just coexist—but collaborate. We envisioned a platform built not just to create, but to elevate: where directors can hear what they imagine, where performers see exactly what they need, and where every detail is refined with intention. What began as a response to frustration became a framework for creative clarity.
We like to think of Velvet Audio as your creative studio in perfect balance—where every part of your show finds its place, and every idea finds its sound.

At the board
We know the power of a great idea, a perfect sound, or a flawless phrase. But what defines our work isn’t just what’s written—it’s the discipline to return to the board every day, to listen closer, refine further, and never stop shaping the sound.

The backfield brain
We believe the battery is more than a rhythmic engine — it’s the neurological center of field-level communication and momentum. The Backfield Brain connects movement, impact, and timing into a system that drives the entire ensemble forward.
